Hematology / Oncology

ANC calculator & neutropenia intelligence.

Calculate an absolute neutrophil count in seconds, classify neutropenia severity, and reference growth-factor timing — all in one place. Built for oncology and infusion pharmacists who would otherwise open three references to answer one question.

The ANC formula

ANC = WBC × (Segs % + Bands %) ÷ 100

Enter WBC in K/µL or cells/µL along with the percentage of segmented neutrophils and bands from the differential. The calculator normalizes units automatically and returns the ANC in cells/µL. Including bands matters — leaving them out can underestimate the true neutrophil count.

Neutropenia severity at a glance

Normal
ANC > 1500

Within the commonly referenced normal range.

Mild neutropenia
ANC 1000–1500

Lower-risk category; routine monitoring is common.

Moderate neutropenia
ANC 500–999

Increased infection risk; continued monitoring is typical.

Severe neutropenia
ANC < 500

Substantially increased infection risk; precautions common.

Profound neutropenia
ANC < 100

Highest infection-risk category.

More than a calculator

  • ✓Severity classification & interpretation. Instant color-coded severity band with an informational interpretation as you type.
  • ✓Febrile neutropenia assessment. Temperature criteria with a prominent prompt to evaluate per institutional protocols.
  • ✓G-CSF biosimilar reference. Filgrastim, pegfilgrastim, and biosimilars (Zarxio, Nivestym, Udenyca, and more) with timing and storage.
  • ✓Growth-factor timing intelligence. Visual timeline from chemotherapy completion to the appropriate administration window.
  • ✓CBC trend visualization. Plot WBC, ANC, and platelets over time with automatic improving / stable / declining interpretation.
